Jones Sign Co Acquires Heritage OOH Company, Northern Advertising, in Wisconsin

Green Bay, WI – Jones Sign Company (“Jones”) announced today their acquisition of Northern Advertising, Inc. (“Northern”). The transaction included 103 Outdoor Advertising Displays in central Wisconsin. Drachman M&A Co. represented Northern in the transaction. James MacGillis of Trepanier MacGillis Battina, Minneapolis, served as legal counsel to Jones. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Northern Advertising, Inc. was established in 1955 by Dean Blazek, who is known throughout the region as a pioneer in Out-of-Home advertising and neon sign fabrication. The assets he developed stretch from Eagle River to the north, through Rhinelander and the Fox River Valley. Mark Blazek led the deal on behalf of the Blazek family and was happy to see the family business sold to Jones.

The buyer, Jones, is one of the largest independent Out-of-home companies in the region. Their current holdings are centered in Green Bay, with strong coverage in the Fox River Valley and throughout Wisconsin. This acquisition expands their northern footprint and provides many additional outlets for their advertising clients to reach Wisconsin’s consumers.
